17 day roadtrip

17 day South African Road Trip(8 or more people)

Day 1:

Depart Cape Town International Airport for Johannesburg. We head off to the Mpumalanga area where we spend the night at the Timbavati Lodge, situated about 30km from the Open Gate of the Kruger National Park.

Day 2:

After breakfast a super boat ride on the 3rd largest canyon on the world, namely the Blyde River awaits us. The afternoon will be spent visiting Shangaan villages. Another night at the Timbavati Lodge

Day 3:

We now enter the Orpen Gate to the world famous Kruger National Park where the choice of routes will be influenced by advice and reports from the local ranges and guides. Possible encounters with Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Leopard and many other interesting animals make up for the exhilarating day of action packed game drive. We return to the Lodge where a mouth-watering supper awaits around a warm and cozy campfire.

Day 4:

This day will be spent doing the very beautiful Panorama Scenic Drive. Another night at the Lodge.

 

Day 5:

A day spent visiting a real African rural village where we get to visit a family and meet many village children. We could visit a school or a church. This depends on what day we there. We will have supper at the Timbavati Lodge and experience some real traditional African dancers(optional) after supper.

Day 6:

We head off to Johannesburg and spend the night at the Backpackers Ritz.

 

Day 7:

This day will be spent visiting the world famous Soweto where we will visit the Nelson Mandela Museum, Winnie Mandela residence and the Hector Petersen Museum. Another night at the Ritz. A possible movie night maybe?

Day 8:

A visit to the Apartheid Museum in the morning is a must! We then drive off to Pretoria where we will visit the Voortrekker Monument. Another night at the Ritz

 

Day 9:

An early morning wake as we head off to “Mountanous Kindom of Lesotho. We will spend the night at the Malealea Lodge.

 

Day 10:

A six-hour horse ride awaits you as you make your way into the unbelievably scenic mountains and villagers of Lesotho Another night either in the mountains or the Lodge.

Day 11:

Return to Lodge from horse ride and spend another night around a awesome camp fire.

 

Day 12:

This day will be spent on a 1.5hr walk to a waterfall where you could swim or just chill.

Day 13:

This day will be spent exploring the area, visiting a village, craft markets, cycling, day horse riding  or just spend the day relaxing.

 

Day 14:

Depart at 07h00 as we head off to Port Elizaberth and spend the night at the Kings Beach Backpackers.

 

Day 15:

Leave early as the Worlds longest Bungy Jump awaits us!!! Depart for Wilderness where we will spend the night at the Beach House

 

Day 16:

Spend the day canoeing, paragliding, paintball or quad-biking. Spend another night at the Beach house.

Day 17:

Depart for CT!!!!!!
